The seat mat emulator simulates the presence of a person sitting in the passenger seat. It removes the SRS error and turns off the airbag warning light caused by a broken seat occupancy mat. The emulator is a diagnostic device to verify the correctness of the car's electrical installation and to make sure that the SRS error displayed on a dashboard is caused by a faulty seat mat. If your seat mat is broken, the SRS error and the airbag warning light will turn off after installation. If you have a different problem with your car, the SRS error and the airbag warning light will still be present. The most common errors related to a faulty seat mat are: "Component B48", "9025".

Por fin se ha apagado la luz del tablero. Un 10
le voyant SRS rouge du tableau de bord ainsi que le voyant orange sur la console près du frein à main restaient allumés fixes du fait à priori d'un défaut au niveau du capteur du tapis d'occupation placé sous le siège passager. J'ai placé l'émulateur et les défauts ont aussitôt disparu. Les 2 voyants sont maintenant éteints. Le véhicule vient de passer en contre-visite au contrôle technique et tout est bon. J'ai pleinement conscience que cet émulateur inhibe l'airbag avant droit. ... Personne ne prend jamais place sur ce siège. Enfin ce véhicule va bientôt finir sa vie à la casse.
