The seat mat emulator simulates the presence of a person sitting in the passenger seat. It removes the SRS error and turns off the airbag warning light caused by a broken seat occupancy mat. The emulator is a diagnostic device to verify the correctness of the car's electrical installation and to make sure that the SRS error displayed on a dashboard is caused by a faulty seat mat. If your seat mat is broken, the SRS error and the airbag warning light will turn off after installation. If you have a different problem with your car, the SRS error and the airbag warning light will still be present.

Audi cars with a seat mat plug with 2 wires. Please check your seat mat before purchase. This emulator will not work with mats with 3 or 4 wires. This emulator will NOT work with cars sold in USA and Canada!!! Cars sold in USA and Canada had a different seat mat.

In the event of an accident, the passenger airbag will ALWAYS deploy (with or without a passenger in the seat) if the emulator is still connected. Do not place a child seat on the front passenger seat! We strongly advise informing all users of the vehicle about the presence of the emulator. Ensure that fitting this emulator for diagnostic purposes does not violate any laws in your country.
