Estimated time of work: 10-15 minutes

Tools required: trim removal tool (available HERE) or flat screwdriver


1. In order to replace the third brake light you need to unhook 8 metal clips holding the light in the socket. Here are the location of the clips.

2. For this task you can use a trim removal tool. You start from the upper part of the light. Insert the tool into a gap between the light and body in the area of the first clip and push up the tool to release the clip and slide out the light a little bit.

3. Now perform this task to the rest of the clips in the upper part of the light.

4. Once the upper clips are released, perform the same task for the bottom part of the light. If you have problems releasing the clips with a trim removal tool you can use a flat screwdriver or a knife to release them.

5. Once the light is pulled out you need to unplug the connector. Insert the connector to the new light and slide the light into the socket. Push the light in every clip area to snap all clips. The clips will make "click" sound.
