The seat mat emulator simulates the presence of a person sitting in the passenger seat. It removes the SRS error and turns off the airbag warning light caused by a broken seat occupancy mat. The emulator is a diagnostic device to verify the correctness of the car's electrical installation and to make sure that the SRS error displayed on a dashboard is caused by a faulty seat mat. If your seat mat is broken, the SRS error and the airbag warning light will turn off after installation. If you have a different problem with your car, the SRS error and the airbag warning light will still be present. The most common errors related to a faulty seat mat are: "Component B48", "9025".

Ensure that fitting this emulator for diagnostic purposes does not violate any laws in your country.
